Why can't I just use a DIY builder?
You can — until something breaks the night before an event, a vulnerability is published in a plugin you forgot you installed, or a backup turns out to be corrupted. DIY builders are excellent for shipping. They are not designed to defend, monitor, restore, or optimize without a steady operator. Stratos Dynamics is the operator. Managed hosting and management aren't the same thing as a builder subscription — they are an active relationship with someone whose job is to keep your site working when you aren't watching.
What defines "Light Development"?
Anything we can scope, build, test, and deploy inside two focused hours: speed tuning, form repair, content updates, schema additions, page-section builds on existing templates, integration patches. Anything larger — a redesign, a new template, a custom integration — gets a separate fixed-fee quote so retainer time stays for retainer work.
How do you handle site emergencies?
Our monitoring detects most outages before clients do. On Stratos Elite, we acknowledge within 12 hours and execute restoration immediately — typically from the previous night's backup if the cause is unrecoverable. On Sentry and Engine, we respond within one business day. Either way, you get a written incident note: what happened, what we did, what we changed to keep it from recurring.
What is the Stratos security guarantee?
Every site under management runs a hardened security layer (firewall rules, brute-force lockout, malware scans, 2FA enforcement) backed by daily encrypted off-site backups with a 30-day rolling restore. If a managed site is ever compromised, we restore it from a clean snapshot at no charge — and you get a written incident report explaining the cause and the hardening change we made to prevent recurrence. The guarantee applies as long as the retainer is active and credentials remain under our control.
Do I own the website and content?
Always. You own the domain, the hosting account, the codebase, and every piece of content. We operate inside your infrastructure on your credentials. If we ever part ways, you keep everything and we hand over a clean exit document.
Is there a contract or minimum term?
No long-term contract. Month-to-month with thirty days' written notice to pause or cancel. We earn the next month every month.
Who is this actually for?
Local leaders — campaign teams, civic organizations, regional firms, founder-led practices — who need their digital presence to be quietly excellent and don't want to think about it. We keep our roster capped on purpose.
